The Avaya Partner phone system involves 2 types of programming – the Centralized Telephone Programming and the System Programming. Programming this type of phone can be very easy, provided you know how this is possible. Read on and know about the steps.

When it comes to the basics, you have to know that you should be at extension 11 or 10 if you want to program the phone. You have to do all the programming at these extensions. There is also a programming overlay placed over the device to guide you about the various programming functions.

You will also need a display phone for programming. Keep in mind that having a 34 button phone in the Avaya Partner phone system will need you to use the same type of phone for programming. Do not expect to get a 34 button phone programmed with the help of an 18 button phone.

While using System Programming, every Avaya Partner Series 2 Phone that is part of the system will be immediately programmed for the specific feature which is being programmed. When Centralized Telephone Programming is used, an individual phone will be programmed just for that specific feature.

If you want to access System Programming, first hit the Feature button. Then you should press the button ‘0’ for two times on the keypad. Then press the left intercom button for two times. Press the left intercom button twice followed by a single press on the right intercom button. Press on Feature 0 0 to exit programming.
